Research and Testing
TTX has a large research and testing department to ensure our fleet is using components and designs to give our customers the greatest performance benefits. Through research and testing, we are able to verify designs, and improve our fleet. Some of the many ways TTX researches and tests components are through:
- Instrumented track testing at TTCI in Pueblo, Colorado
- Conduct field trials for new components
- Monitor and interpret results from Wayside Detectors
- Conduct over-the-road testing
- Impact testing at Draco Fabrication in Waterford, Michigan
